All community members invited to help shape long-range comprehensive plan

The City of Chillicothe is seeking passionate people interested in designing the future of this community. In this first round of public engagement, there will be four ways to participate: 1) an in-person event taking place at the end of March; 2) two virtual meetings within the last week of March; 3) online activities that can be completed over several weeks beginning in late March and spanning until early April; and 4) by sending a voicemail message to share your thoughts. Anyone who cares about the City of Chillicothe is encouraged to participate in this process. All in-person events will require masks and social distancing.

A volunteer steering committee has been selected to help guide the process and members of the public are also encouraged to weigh in. “This is a unique moment for community members to help create a vision for the future of Chillicothe. This plan will inform where and how new development takes place and how themes such as land use, economic development, transportation, and more can be addressed in a single visionary document,” said Jeff Creed, Steering Committee co-chair.
