Chillicothe and Ross County offers excellent learning opportunities from pre-school to university classes. There are seven school districts in our county along with a Catholic and Christian school.  Each school offers unique learning opportunities for their students, including some districts utilizing the Stephen Covey “Leader In Me” program.

The area also has a career and technical center. Pickaway-Ross Career & Technology Center’s Adult Education has been serving Pickaway and Ross counties since 1974. Pickaway-Ross’ Business and Industry Services provides customized pre-employment assessment to assist companies with hiring, training and promotion; human resource development seminars and workshops; diversified industrial training and consulting; and computer training and consulting. All of the services and training offered through the B & I group can be customized to meet the specific needs of your company. Also available through PRCTC Adult Education are career-development programs in health care, industrial trades and public safety. A sampling of programs available include Practical Nursing, Nurse Aide, Medical Assisting, Medical Billing Specialist, and Massage Therapy; Auto Mechanics, Electrical, HVAC, Maintenance, Power Lineman, and Welding; and Emergency Medical Technician, EMT-Paramedic, and Volunteer and Professional Firefighter. Full- and part-time programs are offered at the Chillicothe main campus and at the Circleville campus. Job-placement assistance is provided and financial aid is available for those who qualify.  PRCTC Adult Education also offers part-time personal enrichment classes, such as basic, intermediate and advanced computer classes, ServSafe certification, and EPA Lead-Safe Renovator training.
