The Chillicothe Ross Chamber of Commerce provides a workforce development program designed to help area employers find and train employees, help unemployed workers find positions, and take training to help them with new positions. Below is a listing of services available to employers. We ask that employers either be chamber members to receive assistance through these services or pay a small fee in exchange for service.
Employee Recruitment
The local jobs page provides a single point of contact for a large group of job seekers in the area, reducing the time and money for recruitment and hiring. Advertisement of your job opening at www.chillicotheohio.com/jobs allows you to reach a larger base of applicants. Assistance with this site is provided through the Chamber.
- Employers can also contact our program manager to assist you with registration on the local jobs page or even post your positions for you. Give her a call at 740.702.2722
- Sharing of your job posting with 30 community partner organizations in Ross and Pickaway counties
- Follow-up to improve your recruiting efforts
Customized Recruitment
- Minimize walk-in traffic and phone calls to your business – we can have your applications on-site at the chamber office.
- Collect resumes for your job openings and prescreen them for minimum qualifications.
- Conduct open or scheduled interviews at the chamber office, or host a job fair to recruit for your openings.
Employee Retention
The Chillicothe Ross Chamber of Commerce may assist your employees by connecting them with services designed to minimize or eliminate the day-to-day challenges associated with absenteeism and productivity losses. Services include assistance in these areas:
- Child-Care
- Training and upgrading of employability skills
- Transportation
- Low-cost or free health care services for their families
Employer Resources
The Ohio Department of Development website can help you find and use the labor market information you need to help your business succeed. This site offers:
- Links to labor market statistics and information from several sources.
- Links to information on tax credits available to employers who meet certain requirements in staffing and hiring. The credits can save new employees substantial amounts of money.
