Celebrate Chamber Week with Your Chamber and COCC!
At the Chillicothe Ross Chamber of Commerce, we’re pleased to provide you a wide variety of services to help promote economic and community development throughout Ross County. We’re your advocates on issues with local, state, and national government, your conduit to connect to benefits to help your employees and your bottom line, and we provide professional development and networking to help you grow yourself and your business.
To help you better connect with our services, we’re joining forces with our colleagues in the Central Ohio Chambers of Commerce (COCC) group to be the local sponsor of Chamber Week, four days of virtual events to help solidify what the Chamber does for Ross County and its businesses.
Our CEO is a member of COCC, a group of Chamber executives that meets regularly and discusses ways the Chamber can interact in a community to help improve the business climate and help the community grow.
Here’s what you can expect from Chamber Week:
Tuesday: The theme of the day is business advocacy and economic development. We’ve arranged a virtual address from Lt. Gov. Jon Husted, who is not only a longtime government officials, but also a former local Chamber director. He brings a wide range of experience and insight to the importance of local Chambers of Commerce in building our business community and growing our local economy. He’ll speak to our members via Zoom at 11 a.m. Monday.
Wednesday: This day’s theme is giving back to the community and addressing challenges. Dr. Kevin Lutz, COO of OhioHealth, will speak via virtual meeting on COVID-19 and its challenges and his company’s method of giving back to the community. He’ll speak from noon to 1 p.m.
Thursday: We’ll focus on Chamber benefits and your connection to a local Chamber team. First, we’ve set up a virtual Chamber Benefits Session with four different providers of cost-saving benefits that can help you more efficiently run your business, provide better retention, and save you money. We’ll have a virtual networking event with StrategicHR, the Prescription Savings Card, SOCA Anthem Health Insurance Program (including a new plan for sole proprietors), and CompManagement. But hurry, the deadline to sign up is Friday, Aug. 28.
Also, on Thursday, our members can sign up to do a virtual one-on-one session with Mike Throne, president and CEO of the Chillicothe Ross Chamber of Commerce. You can sign up for a 15-minute slot to discuss challenges, areas of advocacy, community development, or anything you’d like to talk about.
Friday: Similar to our virtual Benefits session, we’re offering a virtual Chamber Expo, starting at 10 a.m. Join us to hear more about some of the other offerings we provide through the Chamber, such as EPIC Young Professionals, Greater Chillicothe Women in Business, the Downtown Partnership, and more.
And we may have a few surprises along the way, so keep alert to our social media pages (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube).
At the Chamber, we value our members as investors who have helped us reach the business community and helped them stay informed throughout the COVID-19 shutdown and reopening, among other things. It’s our way of helping Chillicothe and Ross County grow into a thriving and vibrant community.
