The Ross County Reentry Coalition is a new program through which otherwise qualified candidates who have previously been incarcerated will be referred directly to local employers from job openings at their businesses.

Individuals that enroll in the program will be placed into a rigorous prescreening process, must complete mental health and substance abuse assessments, and comply with any recommendations resulting from them. They must also participate in work readiness, soft skills, and in some cases, work skills training prior to their release.

Following their release, they must continue to participate in any in any recommended treatment, training, and other program requirements. Only participants who complete the program will be referred to employers who have expressed an interest in considering them for available positions.

After employment, they will be assigned a job coach to help assure success and their performance will be monitored at least monthly for the first year of employment.

If you would like your workplace to be considered for this program, or would like more information, please contact us. You can call Wayne McLaughlin at 740-649-4401 or email [email protected]. The coalition will be happy to provide additional information to any business interested in the program.
