Ross County Christian Academy

I recently had the wonderful opportunity to tour the Ross County Christian Academy with other members of the community.  As a faith-based academy, RCCA integrates biblical principles and teaching throughout the school day and into every subject matter.   I was surprised to learn that they currently have 206 students enrolled and are expecting quite a few more to enroll over the summer.  We were able to sit in on the opening ceremony where the students discussed stories of wind in the bible, watched a short clip of a film, and sang an enthusiastic version of “God’s Not Dead”.  Every student knew every word and every movement to the song.  It was heartwarming and entertaining to watch the students really get into the performance.

We then toured the building and visited some individual classrooms.  I was thrilled to learn that the elementary students have the opportunity to learn Spanish and that they offer a Robotics class in middle school!  Ross County Christian Academy is also starting to add high school classes.  Starting this coming school year, ninth grade will be added and then every year after another grade will be added.  The Academy is growing and they are looking for land to build on or a building that will house all the students under one roof.  They currently have two campuses, one located at Brookside Church and the other at Lighthouse Baptist.

If you are looking for a change for your student, Ross County Christian Academy offers smaller classes and faith based teaching.  If you would like a tour of the facility you can contact the school by phone 740-772-4532 or by email at question@rccacademy.org.  Check out their website at www.rccacademy.org.
