Business Connections- Making It Happen
CHAMBER MEMBER BENEFITS
BUSINESS CONNECTIONS – MAKING IT HAPPEN
CREDIBILITY – Chamber membership adds credibility and quality as well as visibility to your business. A study by The Schapiro Group showed Chamber membership improves your standing with your customers and prospective customers. Check out the results:
- A 49% increase in your consumer favor-ability rating
- A 73% increase in consumer awareness of your business
- A 68% increase in your local reputation
- An 80% increase in the likelihood that consumers will patronize your business in the future
BUSINESS & INDUSTRY ADVOCACY – The Chamber is your voice advocating for the policies that foster economic growth, jobs, and new opportunities for your organization. When you invest in the Chamber, you strengthen that voice. You can volunteer for the Advocacy Committee and be up-to-date on policies that have an immediate impact on your organization and share that information with fellow members.
NETWORKING – Our Chamber has over 600 members from large businesses down to home based businesses. By being a member of the Chamber, you have extended your list of contacts extensively. The Chamber coordinates many events to afford you the opportunity to strengthen and create relationships with other business professionals. With events like the Quarterly New Member Breakfast, Groundhog Day Economic Forecast, Connection Wednesdays, Annual Meeting, Women’s Conference, Golf Outing, Business Expo, luncheons, specialty seminars, and the monthly Business After Business we offer many opportunities to rub elbows and get to know the business community in Ross County.
DIRECTORY – Your organization will be listed categorically and alphabetically in our Chamber Directory which is printed annually. This publication is widely circulated throughout the county to all of our members and to the general public. Newcomers to the area receive the directory when utilizing the Chamber relocation information service.
WEBSITE – CHILLICOTHEOHIO.COM – The electronic front door to the Chillicothe Ross county area, the Chamber’s newly re-vamped internet site is the most comprehensive resource tool for the community with it’s link to economic development data. It’s also a popular site for people planning to come to the area either as a tourist or to relocate here for a new job. A membership directory allows visitors to get to your website quickly. What makes our website unique is that you have control over customization of your listing. You may add your logo, mission statement, and links to all your social media.
CHAMBER CONFERENCE ROOM – The Chamber’s conference room can accommodate up to 20 comfortably. Limited parking is available on our lot. It can be reserved for an hour or two or for the entire day. Call ahead to reserve it at 740-702-2722.
PROFESSIONAL STAFF – By joining the Chamber you essentially hire a staff to market and promote your business as well as assist you with business challenges. We want to be an extension of your office.
MAILING LISTS & LABELS – Members, upon request, receive one set of mailing labels free of charge. That means that you have access to the addresses of over 600 of our members. The Chamber will print them so that cuts down on the costs of printing and label cost for you. You can then do a complete mailing or a select mailing to the members that you want to get your information. Sometimes it just makes sense to use the mailman for direct marketing. Additional labels are available for a small fee.
EMAIL BLASTS – Arrange for your information to be emailed to our electronic mailing list of over 2100 addresses for a minimal charge of $50. We only send one per day from our members so that we are not filling up your inboxes. This is a great spend of your marketing dollar by reaching so many people for such a small dollar amount. Call Briana at the Chamber to reserve your date.
REFERRAL SERVICES – The best way to advertise is by word of mouth, and it is the cheapest! We receive calls on a daily basis from residents, potential customers, and visitors looking for products and services in the Ross County area. We direct customers to your door by referring Chamber members only.
COMMUNITY & BUSINESS INFORMATION CENTER – The chamber is the gathering place for ideas and information. We are a hub for the distribution of business and community information. We provide direction for new business start-up, organize ribbon cuttings and anniversary celebrations, and special event planning are also among the services the Chamber provides. We are the one-stop community resource center for economic, relocation, and demographic information. Bring in your business cards and rack cards to display on our information wall. We will pull from this wall when pulling together relocation packets and visitor mailers.
MARKETING – Use us! That’s why we are here! How many area businesses can say that they have their own marketing staff? Think of the Chamber as an extentsion of your business. We can help you with brainstorming sessions, marketing strategies, special events, and networking opportunities. The Chamber, like no other organization, has the ability to see the “big picture” and provide direction for your marketing goals.
ADVERTISING & SPONSORSHIPS – There are many opportunities to put your name in front of thousands of potential customers. Members of the Chamber can sponsor events and advertise in our annual publication, email newsletter, and on our website. You can also promote your business and gain exposure by partnering with the Chamber. There are several opportunities, including hosting a Business After Business, sponsoring a luncheon or New Member Breakfast, being part of the Annual Meeting, Golf Outing, or Business Expo, or sponsoring a seminar or special event. The opportunities are endless!
BLOG – Are you interested in being a topic in one of the Chamber employee’s blogs? Invite an employee out to visit your organization so we can blog about our experience and your company. We include pictures and a splash of humor as well! Randy Davies’ blog is called Around The Corner, Bobbi Kellough’s is called Member Crossroads, and Briana Hood’s is called The Work Zone.
