Ohio 207 Connector now fully open to traffic
The Ohio 207 connector project, which includes the addition to two roundabouts to help with safe movement of traffic, is now fully open to the public.
The project continues Ohio 207 east from U.S. 23 to the junction of Ohio 159.
The ROS 207 connector will provide modern access to leverage current and future industry expansion for a major Southern Ohio employment hub, as well as providing a means of connectivity and alleviating congestion as an east-west connector between SR159 and US23 north of Chillicothe.
The project also improves safety at multiple intersections by reducing accidents through two mechanisms – converting a high-accident intersection to a roundabout and a traffic volume change by utilizing the connector. It will also alleviate congestion, by diverting high volumes of traffic, currently traveling on narrow, rural county and township roads, across the new connector. The connector will help open up developable land for the “Kenworth Opportunity Corridor.”
