Small Business Networking and Advocacy – Around The Corner – Randy Davies

One of the initiatives of the Chillicothe Ross Chamber of Commerce is to assist small business owners and managers with advocacy work. One of the best ways for you to be directly involved is to join the Ohio Small Business Council, sponsored by the Ohio Chamber of Commerce.

This committee specifically concentrates on issues of importance to small business members. As a member of the Ohio Small Business Council you can:

  • Help determine, direct, and implement how the Ohio Chamber advocates on small business issues;
  • Learn how you can be an advocate for your business; and
  • Voice your concerns directly to Ohio’s decision makers.

The next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, July 22 at the Ohio Chamber Headquarters, 230 E. Town St., Columbus. The meeting will begin at 9:30 AM and will end by 11:30 AM.

If you are interested in learning more, or attending the meeting, please contact Sherry Heffner at 614.629.0917.

Another great small business connection is to join us at the 2015 Small Business Convention. This event will be held in Cleveland, Oct. 21-22 and presented by our partner COSE (Council of Smaller Enterprises). The convention has offered dynamic keynote experiences and hands-on workshops for the past 10 years. It provides you the best opportunity to dive into your biggest business issue and provide opportunities to connect with other business owners, resource providers, and experts who can help you take your business to the next level.

You won’t want to miss this one and a half day opportunity to step away from the day-to-day and rejuvenate your entrepreneurial spirit. If you’re interested in attending, please give us a call at the Chamber (740.702.2722) and we can share more information about keynote speakers and registration details. More info also will be shared in next week’s newsletter.
